Civil society organisations from around the world call for a Torture-Free Trade Treaty. Omega is a member of the core organising group of the Torture-Free Trade Network.

On 13 August 2024, the Omega Research Foundation delivered online training to lawyers who accompany those affected by alleged arbitrary use of force by police or military officials during the protests that took place from December 2022 to March 2023.

Ahead of renewed mass protests in Kenya, the United Against Torture Consortium (UATC) expresses its grave concern over clear and convincing evidence of the systematic torture and ill-treatment, extra judicial killings and enforced disappearances of protesters by Kenyan security forces.

The United Against Torture Consortium urges the Bangladeshi government to immediately end the torture and ill-treatment of student protesters and hold perpetrators accountable amid the violent crackdown by security forces that has killed hundreds and injured thousands.
