Omega offers a range of consultancy services including research, expert policy advice, and human rights-based training.
For over 30 years, we’ve researched all aspects of the arms trade, particularly military, security, and police equipment and related export control issues. Our team of researchers has extensive knowledge, as well as access to the large Omega archive and library of documents, including company and equipment information.
We provide detailed drafts of policy lines and recommendations on all aspects of the arms trade, most notably on issues relating to military, security, and police equipment.
We run and facilitate workshops developing capacity to monitor and investigate the manufacture, sale, and use of equipment. We work to inform and empower civil society, members of national human rights mechanisms, lawyers, journalists, and bodies such as the UN. Recent sessions have been held in Indonesia, South Africa, Senegal, Uganda, Lebanon, Georgia, South Korea, and Hong Kong.
