Scott Mason

Scott has been a researcher at Omega since 2019. Since joining Omega, Scott’s primary focus has been the redevelopment of Omega’s internal data systems and the exploration of new digital methodologies for data collection and analysis, including how emerging AI and machine learning technologies can be leveraged to assist with Omega’s research and advocacy. As part of this work, Scott has taken a leading role in Omega’s collaboration with Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) to collate data on international arms and security fairs and the companies that attend them.

He holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations from Keele University, where his research examined the extent to which human rights considerations are integrated into the design and development of technical web standards.
