Launching cups are a metal attachment that fit over the barrel of a shotgun or rifle. A less lethal grenade is then inserted into the launching cup and a blank cartridge is fired from the gun, which expels the grenade, allowing shotguns and rifles to fire larger calibre less lethal ammunition.
